BARCELONA

Il mese scorso sono stata qualche giorno a Barcellona, era la mia prima volta in Spagna.

Sapete che non sono una travel blogger ma amo i viaggi, questo poi era senza famiglia al seguito. Programmato per visitare, fare shopping e rilassarmi. Erano 5 anni che non mi allontanavo da casa senza marito e figli, e devo dire che ogni tanto ci vuole proprio.

Non vi parlerò di itinerari e monumenti, sono sicura che potete trovare chi sa farlo meglio di me.

Condivido le foto più significative per me da turista e homeaddicted.  Ho incontrato due negozi carini di marchi locali come Calma House e Muy Mucho, e ammirato i prodotti e la location di Cereria Subirà.  Di questi vi parlerò meglio nel prossimo post.

Last month I spend a few days in Barcelona, my first visit to Spain.

You know I’m not a travel blogger but I like to travel, this trip was without my family. Only time for me to explore, go shopping and relax! My last trip alone without my husband and my kids was dated 2015…every now and then I need to do it.

I will not tell you what to see, I’m sure you can find someone better than me for this. 
I only will share some pictures and my thoughts, as tourist and homeaddicted.  I’ve found two nice shops of home decor local brands Calma House and Muy Mucho, and I liked both products and location of Cereria Subirà.  I will tell you more about that in the next post.

L’impressione che mi sono fatta su Barcellona è di una città giovane: perché di giovani ne ho visti davvero tanti e perché è ancora oggi votata al modernismo. La qualità della vita è buona: si mangia bene, i servizi e la pulizia non mancano, negozi e divertimenti abbondano, il paesaggio va dalla collina al mare e soprattutto hanno la spiaggia in città!!! Cosa che invidio tantissimo.

Barcelona gives me the impression to be a young city: I’ve seen many young people and the city is still devoted to modernism. It has good life quality: it is clean, has good food, services, many shops, the movida, it goes from hills to the sea and most of all it has beaches!!!

TOP IN VETRO PER MOBILE TV // GLASS TOP FOR TV STAND

Negli ultimi due mesi ho completato il mobile del salotto, ho comprato una nuova scrivania, ho disegnato un oggetto decorativo, ho fatto un viaggio di 4 giorni…andiamo con ordine. Ci vorranno più post per raccontarvi tutto.

Riparto da dove vi avevo lasciati: l’ikeahack del salotto. Il vetro è arrivato e sono molto soddisfatta dell’effetto finale. Giudicate voi dalle foto! E’ un unico pezzo su misura, con i fori per il passaggio cavi e verniciato di bianco. Sporge leggermente davanti e sui lati e va in appoggio al muro dietro.

Costo finale del mobile, accessori interni, aggiunte per personalizzare, vetro: circa 500 €.

During the last 2 months I’ve completed my living room tv stand, I’ve bought a new desktop, I've designed a decor object, I’ve made a 4-days-trip…more than one post will be necessary to tell you about all these things.

Let’s start from the living room ikeahack. The glass top has arrived and I’m very happy with the result. What about you? Look at the pictures! It is one customized piece, with holes for cables and white painted. It is a little bit larger in front and on the sides, backward it reaches the wall.

Final cost of furniture, inner accessories, added pieces to customize, glass top: approx. 500 €.

2019 NEWS!

BUON 2019!  Avete fatto un bilancio del 2018? Io sì e se riguardo lo slogan che avevo scelto l’anno scorso mi sento di averlo seguito, ho aumentato il tempo dedicato a me stessa, i miei sogni e le mie passioni.

.

Per il 2019 ho scelto la frase che vedete qui sopra sulla lavagna, ho scelto l’ottimismo e la fiducia.

HAPPY 2019!  Did you think about how 2018 has gone? I feel that I followed my starting intention: increasing the time dedicated to myself, my dreams and my passions.

For this new 2019 I’ve chosen this concept:

DREAM BIG, BELIEVE  IT, WORK FOR IT AND NEVER GIVE UP!

That’s what my board, here above, is saying, I’ve chosen optimism and trust.

Com’è cominciato il vostro nuovo anno?

Natale 2018 // Christmas 2018

Quest’anno sto aspettando Natale con calma e relax.
Forse avrete notato che non ho scritto il solito post con i suggerimenti sui regali, io stessa ho scelto di farne meno, qualcosa fatto a mano, o esperienze.

.

In famiglia abbiamo ad esempio deciso di non comprare oggetti ma piuttosto uscire a pranzo tutti insieme.

Nel decorare casa ho sfruttato quello che ho già, dispongo di abbastanza addobbi per variare ogni anno ruotandoli o combinandoli in modo differente.

.

In fondo quello che amo di più sono le luci: quell’ora del pomeriggio in cui arriva il buio e strade e case si illuminano mi piace davvero, è come vivere in una favola, torno un po’ bambina.

This year I’m waiting for Christmas with a calm and relaxed attitude.  Maybe you have noticed that I wrote no posts on suggested gifts, I’ve chosen to buy less objects, give something handmade, or experiences.

IKEAHACK: Stuva + Besta TV stand and media storage

Come promesso ecco i dettagli del mio progetto per il salotto, è un IKEAHACK per 3 motivi:

·        perché combina strutture e cassetti della serie Stuva (profondi 50 cm, 10 cm più del Besta!) e ante della serie Besta Vassviken e Glassvik;

·        perché nella parte sinistra del mobile le ante Besta non sono montate con cerniere ma usate come frontali, cioè attaccate direttamente ai cassetti Stuva, spingendo l’anta si apre anche il cassetto più basso;

·        perché ho fissato un’anta come pannello di copertura sul fianco destro della composizione per dare al mobile un aspetto più uniforme, è bastato accorciarla.

As promised here follow the details of my living room project, it is an IKEAHACK for 3 reasons:

·     combines structures and drawers from Stuva series (50 cm depth, 10 cm more than Besta!) with Besta Vassviken and Glassvik doors;

·     on the left part, the Besta doors are not fixed with hinges but used as drawer front, fixed directly to the drawer, pushing the door the lower drawer opens;

·     one door has been cut and fixed on the right end side of the stand as covering panel, this gives the stand a more finish style.

Le caratteristiche del mio mobile ideale:

Il mobile del salotto. Ci penso da 17 anni! E’ arrivato il suo momento finalmente.

Se avete letto questo post  sapete che nella mia casa la zona più interessante è il soppalco.

Nelle foto del mio salotto avete visto i divani e il camino ma non la parete della tv. Il motivo è semplice, fino a pochi giorni fa c’erano ancora i mobili recuperati dal salotto anni 80 dei miei genitori e la tv a tubo catodico….

.

Come tante coppie, appena sposati non abbiamo comprato tutti i mobili nuovi, e poi io sono fan del riuso, quindi andava benissimo così. Quando sono arrivati i bambini il salotto è diventato il loro regno, quindi non valeva proprio la pena di rinnovare….

.

Ma naturalmente la voglia di cambiare c’era, c’erano mille idee e dubbi. Sullo stile certo, sul budget anche, ma soprattutto questo: compriamo un mobile finito, pregiato, duraturo o tentiamo un fai da te, funzionale ma economico che ci lasci la possibilità di cambiare più spesso??   Metti che i nostri gusti/esigenze cambino fra meno di 17 anni? Vale la pena di investire sul mobile del salotto una cifra che si ammortizzerà solo in molti anni come fatto con la cucina?

.

Ovviamente la risposta è soggettiva, caso per caso la stessa persona può fare scelte differenti per la stessa stanza, a causa di tantissimi fattori. Fra me e mio marito c’erano propensioni diverse. Nel dubbio abbiamo passato troppo tempo con una soluzione che doveva essere provvisoria e ci aveva stancati. Così sono riuscita a convincerlo. Indovinate qual era la mia scelta?

La soluzione fai da te. Il perché credo vi sarà chiaro, se non è la prima volta che leggete il mio blog.

Se invece è la vostra prima visita, ve lo riassumo così: mi piace provare a progettare soluzioni su misura per le mie esigenze e sfruttare lo spazio al massimo, possibilmente spendendo poco.

.

Ho capito che era arrivato il momento di cambiare perché i miei figli sono un po’ più grandi ora e la tv a tubo catodico (da loro detta “il dinosauro”) ormai era solo un monitor per dvd e cassette. Abbiamo deciso un budget in buona parte speso per la tv e accessori vari, quindi per il mobile ho destinato circa 400/500 euro (parte bassa e composizione a parete).

If you have read this post  you know that the most interesting part of my home is the mezzanine.

You have seen pictures of my living room: sofas and fireplace, but not the tv wall. There’s a simple reason, till a few days ago there was still the old furniture coming from the 1980’s living room of my parents and the crt tv…

.

Like many other couples, after our wedding, we did not buy all new furniture, but we prefer repurposed pieces for some rooms. When our children arrived they conquered the living room, so it was not time to renovate.

.

But obviously we wished to change, with many ideas and many doubts. Doubts about style, budget and more: shall we buy a ready, valuable and durable combination or shall we try a functional and d.i.y. cheap version ? Will our taste and needs change in a short-term future ? Is it right to invest on a long-term product as our kitchen?

.

The answer is subjective. The same person can choose different options for the same room, depending on many factors. Me and my husband had different opinions about that. We have waited too much time with a provisional solution. At last my project won.

Functional and d.i.y. cheap solution.  I suppose you can understand the reason, if you read my blog.

.

If this is your first visit, I can explain: I like to design tailor-made solutions for my needs with space max. exploitation and pretty cheap budget.

.

The moment to change has come because my sons are now older and the old crt tv (called the dinosaur) was only a monitor for dvd and vhs. We have fixed a budget, most gone for new led tv and accessories, so has remained  400/500 euros for the whole furniture (wall combination and floor units).
