EDG – Enzo De Gasperi Interior Decoration

Ho scoperto solo di recente che a Santa Maria di Sala in provincia di Venezia, quindi molto vicino a me, esiste l’azienda  EDG – Enzo De Gasperi, che è leader nel settore dei complementi d'arredo di design, decori natalizi, fiori artificiali, oggettistica, fragranze e candele.

Ad esempio quest’anno, è stata tra i fornitori e realizzatori delle decorazioni natalizie in centro a Treviso.

Recently I discovered that very near to me (in Santa Maria di Sala – Venice), there’s  EDG – Enzo De Gasperi, leader brand in interior decoration and design objects, Christmas decor,  faux flowers, home accessories, fragrances and candles.

This year is one of the suppliers for Treviso city centre Christmas decorations.

Natale 2018 // Christmas 2018

Quest’anno sto aspettando Natale con calma e relax.
Forse avrete notato che non ho scritto il solito post con i suggerimenti sui regali, io stessa ho scelto di farne meno, qualcosa fatto a mano, o esperienze.

In famiglia abbiamo ad esempio deciso di non comprare oggetti ma piuttosto uscire a pranzo tutti insieme.

Nel decorare casa ho sfruttato quello che ho già, dispongo di abbastanza addobbi per variare ogni anno ruotandoli o combinandoli in modo differente.

.

In fondo quello che amo di più sono le luci: quell’ora del pomeriggio in cui arriva il buio e strade e case si illuminano mi piace davvero, è come vivere in una favola, torno un po’ bambina.

This year I’m waiting for Christmas with a calm and relaxed attitude.  Maybe you have noticed that I wrote no posts on suggested gifts, I’ve chosen to buy less objects, give something handmade, or experiences.

LUCI ESTERNE E PRESEPE IN LEGNO FAI DA TE // GARDEN LIGHTS AND WOOD D.I.Y. NATIVITY

Come promesso, ecco le foto delle mie decorazioni esterne: luci e Presepe in giardino.

.

Le luci a forma di albero e la renna sono opera di mio marito e dei nostri figli, il presepe è un lavoro in legno fatto al traforo dal mio ometto di 10 anni.

.

In coda al post vedrete le foto dei passaggi e la lista materiale: ha riportato il disegno con la carta carbone, intagliato e levigato, dipinto con vernice all’acqua bianca.

.

Per sorreggere le figure le abbiamo fissate a dei supporti ad L di ferro, aggiunta la ghirlanda verde e la paglia è bastato appendere la stella e mettere delle luci. Et voilà! Semplice ma di effetto siamo tutti soddisfatti!

The tree and reindeer of lights are a job of my husband and our sons.

The Nativity (we call it PRESEPE) is a wood D.I.Y project of my 10 years old son, made with his fretsaw.

.

At the end of this post you see the project pictures and material list: he has copied the drawing, cut and sanded, painted with white water color.

.

To support the figures we have fixed them on iron L-shaped pieces, once we have added the green wreath, some straw, hanged the star and put some lights the job was done. Simple but charming, we are all very happy!

Settimo giorno dell’Avvento! Voi decorate la porta di ingresso?

Io sì!  Quest’anno il più grande dei miei figli si sta impegnando con il traforo, mi ha fatto questa bella stella, alla fine del post potete vedere le foto dei passaggi del suo lavoro e la lista del materiale.

Io mi sono regalata i tappetini e ho aggiunto un po’ di luce, che ne dite?

Non volevo strafare e mantenere l’abbinamento bianco-rosso, l’effetto finale mi piace, specialmente la sera.

.

Prossimi post sulle luci del giardino e un altro progetto fai-da-te realizzato con mio figlio: il presepe di legno!

On the 7^th day of Christmas!  Do you decor your front door?

I’ve done it! This year my 10 years old son is working a lot with his fretsaw, he made this wonderful star for me, at the end of this post you can see the project pictures and material list.

I bought new carpet and mat and added some lights, do you like it?

I just wanted to use the red-white combination and keep it simple, I like the final effect especially in the dark.

.

Cosa vi serve per la stella:

tavoletta di compensato 30x30cm spessore 0.6cm, disegno (io l’ho trovato in rete), carta carbone, seghetto o traforo, carta vetrata, trapano, pennello, vernice all’acqua, pennarello indelebile dorato, righello, un bottone o simile, nastro.

What you need to do the star:

piece of plywood 30x30cm thickness 0.6cm, pattern (I found it online), copying paper, fretsaw, sand paper, drill, paint brush, water paint, gold color magic marker, ruler, a knob or similar, ribbon.

L’Avvento è cominciato! Mancano 21 giorni a Natale!! Ovviamente mi sto concentrando sulle decorazioni Natalizie, quest’anno punto sulla combinazione bianco-rosso e un pochino di blu, e sulle luci.

.

Ecco come si presenta il soggiorno appena varcate la soglia di casa mia!!  Notare che l’albero l’ha montato posizionato e decorato mio figlio, che a 7 anni, condivide già la mia passione per l’homedecor.

.

Advent has started! Only 21 days and it will be Christmas!! Now I’m focusing on Christmas decorations, this year I choose red-white combination with a little of blue, and lights.

CHRISTMAS VIGNETTE

Cominciamo con le Decorazioni Natalizie partendo da una "scenetta" che passa dagli angeli, alle lanterne, al presepe minimale. 

Sotto la scala della mia sala da pranzo c’è uno spazio che di solito è pieno dei giocattoli dei miei bambini, ma a Natale volevo poter esporre degli oggetti a cui tengo e ospitare anche le statuine della natività in modo un po’ diverso dalla tradizione. Prossimo passo:  l’Albero.

Let’s start with the Christmas Decoration with a vignette that includes angels, lanterns and a minimal “Presepe”.
Under the stairs in my dining room there’s a space usually full of my kids’ toys, but for Christmas I want it to show some of my favorite objects and the Nativity statues in an original way. Next step:  the Tree.

IKEA NEW FAVOURITES

Forse vi sarete chiesti come mai non abbia commentato l’uscita del catalogo Ikea 2018 a settembre…naturalmente l’ho visto, mi è piaciuto.

Penso che, anno dopo anno, continui ad assomigliare sempre più ad una rivista più che ad un catalogo.

Quindi per vedere nel dettaglio le novità, io preferisco cercare direttamente nelle sezioni del sito, per categoria.

Di seguito vi mostro le novità che preferisco: il pensiero ricorrente è stato “finalmente ci hanno pensato!”….

….a farmi delle vetrinette carine….

….alla soluzione semplice dei letti impilabili….

….a luci per bimbi con queste forme e questi colori…

….ad accogliere la tendenza di colore e texture nel tessile che imperversa ovunque…

I’ve not talked about the Ikea Catalogue 2018….strange, you may think…  I have it, I like it.  But I think that, year after year, it seems more a magazine than a catalogue.

So I prefer to search through categories on Ikea.com and see all new items.

Here follow my favourite ones: my leitmotiv is “at last they think about it!”…

…join the worldwide trend of this color and texture in textiles…

SACCHETTI E FORMINE // Gift bags and clay pendants

Finalmente torno a scrivere!  La mia assenza non è dovuta ai bagordi delle feste, magari…. In realtà l influenza mi ha costretta a letto una settimana e poi è passata al resto della famiglia. Comunque ora che mi sento meglio posso dire BUON ANNO!

Vorrei concludere la saga dei lavoretti natalizi di quest’anno con due piccoli progetti:  i sacchettini “pan di zenzero” per i biscotti homemade, e le formine decorative.

Come regalino per  parenti e amici quest anno sono stata sul semplice: un sacchettino con cantucci fatti in casa, il sacchettino però lo volevo originale e mi sono piaciuti questi  a forma di casa (hihi!)  simulano il pan di zenzero, basta un sacchettino di carta e un pennarello bianco.

At last I’m back! During holidays I had one week flu then passed to all my family. Not the best Christmas for us! Any way now I can tell you  HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let’s end the series about Christmas diy decorations with 2 little diy projects:  “gingerbread” gift bags for homemade cookies, and clay pendants.

This year I’ve chosen simple gifts for relatives and friends: homemade “cantucci” with an original bag, I liked these idea of homeshaped bags (hihi!)  that seem to be of gingerbread, all you need is some paper bags and 1 white marker.

Le formine sono ormai un grande classico non solo per me, credo.

Io uso per farle la pasta Fimo, però solo il Fimo air, quella cioè che asciuga all aria senza cottura. Ci sono due tipi di Fimo air:  basic più simile nella resa alla ceramica e light piu spugnoso. Li  amo entrambi ma sempre in bianco!

Uso gli stampini per i biscotti e la fantasia!

Clay pendants are a great classic, I think.

I make it with Fimo air, the one that dries without oven. There is Fimo air BASIC similar to ceramic and Fimo air Light with a more spongy effect.

I love both but always in white color!

I use cookie cutters and fantasy!
