PICCOLE SCRIVANIE // SMALL DESKS

L’autunno è arrivato all’improvviso dalle mie parti! Da un giorno all’altro siamo passati dal caldo intenso oltre i 30 gradi ai  13 gradi la mattina, settembre è decisamente iniziato e domani cominciano le scuole!

I miei figli tornano alla loro routine e di conseguenza anch’io…. Il grande va in seconda media e il piccolo in quarta elementare, è arrivato anche per lui il momento di avere una scrivania tutta sua, così già dall’inverno scorso ho iniziato a pensare al suo angolo studio.

Autumn is just arrived here! Yesterday very hot weather  and this morning  quite cold!

September has started and tomorrow kids will go back to school!

My sons go back to their daily routine and I will follow them…. The first one starts the second year of the middle school, and the second one his fourth year in the elementary school, the time has arrived to have his own desk, last winter I started to think to his new corner.

La sua camera è piccola, e la scrivania può stare solo tra la finestra e la porta quindi le misure devono stare sotto i 120x70cm, e le gambe devono essere sottili e non ingombranti. Un tavolo Melltorp, come quello preso per suo fratello, non andava bene (125x75cm).  Altre alternative che avevo visto non mi convincevano per la forma, i materiali, le misure o il prezzo. Parliamoci chiaro, volevo stare sotto i 100 €. Alla fine del post vi lascio qualche esempio della mia ricerca.

His bedroom is small, the desk can be placed only between the window and the door, so it has to be the right size, less than 120x70cm, and its legs must be thin. A Melltorp table, as bought for his brother can not fit (125x75cm).  Other ones I’ve seen, were not the right one because of form, materials, measures or price. Telling the truth I wished to stay under  100 €. At the end of this post you can see some examples.

All’inizio avevo elaborato una combinazione di diversi articoli Ikea:  Linnmon+Godvin+Alex 100x60h70cm a 51€. Aveva il vantaggio di avere una sola gamba di appoggio a destra, verso la porta. Non ingombrava e rendeva più agevole i movimenti di mio figlio con la sedia. Meglio ancora sarebbe stato se il piano fosse stato tondo da quella parte, ma non ce l’hanno più da anni. Si poteva comunque fare il piano con un pannello sagomato preso altrove….Ma….

I started thinking of a d.i.y. project made by Ikea elements:  Linnmon+Godvin+Alex 100x60h70cm cost 51€. Having only one leg towards the door, it takes less space and leaves more action to my son’s chair. It can be better with a rounded top, since Ikea does not have it anymore, can be used a round cut one from other stores…but…

Poi durante una visita in negozio mio figlio ha provato diverse scrivanie e gli piaceva tanto la Lillasen, forse per i cassetti: 102x49 cm h74cm, le misure andavano bene. Il prezzo 129€ era più alto del budget ma non eccessivo.  Ci ho pensato un po’ su, e mi ero già decisa a comprarla in offerta a 99.95, quando ho avuto un colpo di fortuna: un signore ne vendeva due come nuove vicino a dove lavoro, a 35 € l’una!!  Potevo farmela scappare?? Ovviamente no. Ed ecco il risultato. Ho aggiunto un foglio di acrilico trasparente satinato da tenere sopra il piano della scrivania per proteggere il legno di bamboo e pulire più velocemente. La sedia Snille l’avevo a casa, forse dipingerò le gambe di bianco.

Then, during a visit to Ikea store, my son tries different desks and says he loves the Lillasen, maybe because of the little drawers: 102x49 cm h74cm, the measures are correct. The price of 129€ is higher than the budget but not too much. I think a little about it and quite decide to buy it, thanks to an offer price of  99.95, when I get lucky to find 2 Lillasen for sale on  35 € each, near my job place!!  Can I lose it?? Not for sure. And this is the result. I’ve added a transparent acrylic sheet to protect the bamboo wood top and to clean easier. I already had the Snille chair, maybe I will paint the legs white.

Ora sto pensando di aggiungere un pannello Skadis a parete, (ovviamente togliendo il poster gigante della Juventus…) in modo che possa tenere libero il piano della scrivania, come in questi esempi presi dalla rete.

Now I’m thinking about adding a Skadis panel to the wall, (taking off the Juventus poster…) to let my son keep empty the desk top, as in these examples from internet.

Il portapenne della Juventus è un piccolo lavoretto fai da te: 3 bicchieri di carta, tre bicchieri di plastica e il coperchio di una scatola di plastica trasparente, colla a caldo e via!  Simile a quello di Spiderman che avevo fatto per il fratello a suo tempo.

The  Juventus pen holder is a little d.i.y.: 3 paper glasses, 3 plastic glasses and the cover of plastic box, hot glue, done!  Similar to the Spiderman one I made for his brother.
