RI-USO N°3: libreria e comodino // REPURPOSE No 3: bookshelf and nightstand

Durante le vacanze ho fatto una serie di piccoli cambiamenti in casa, adattando e cambiando la posizione e la destinazione d’uso di alcuni mobili.  Resto fedele alla mia filosofia del RIUSO che strizza l’occhio al risparmio, senza rinunciare a rinnovare casa per assecondare le esigenze sempre in evoluzione della famiglia.

La libreria e la cassettiera dello studio sono passate alla camera di uno dei miei figli, il numero dei suoi libri cresce con lui!

La panca dalla sua camera è passata in bagno, nuovi arrivi hanno aggiornato lo studio e la camera dell’altro figlio, e un portabottiglie in ferro è passato dal bagno (dove faceva da appendiabiti/portasciugamano) all’esterno dove diventerà……stop, andiamo con ordine oggi vi mostro come si presenta la camera di mio figlio, nei prossimi post il resto della storia…..

During my August holiday I made some home improvements: I’ve changed the position and use of some pieces of furniture around the rooms. I stay true to my idea of REPURPOSE what I already have, to save money but to try to satisfy new needs of my family.

So… bookshelf and little chest of drawers have come from studio to my son’s bedroom, he and his books are growing!

The bench has gone from the bedroom to the bathroom, new pieces update the studio and the other son’s bedroom, an iron bottle rack has gone from the bathroom (here was used as cloth hanger) to the garden, where it will become……stop, let’s explain step by step starting from my second son’s bedroom, in the next posts the rest of this story…..

Tutti i mobili di questa stanza hanno una vita precedente: il letto faceva parte della cameretta da ragazzo di mio marito (e prima era arancione!), cassettiera e armadietto erano stati comprati per una cabina armadio, comodino e libreria vengono come ho detto dallo studio e lo scaffale che c’è in mezzo è un mix fai da te che fungeva prima da piccolo comodino….. E’ vero che non ha l’aspetto di un componibile coordinato da catalogo, ma secondo me è un insieme con un filo conduttore colorato e funzionale, che per un bambino di 7 anni va benissimo. Lascia tutta la libertà di cambiare e essere sostituito nel tempo da altre soluzioni. Prossima aggiunta in questa stanza: una scrivania.

Each piece of furniture in this room has a previous life: the bedframe was part of my husband boy-room (and it was orange!), the chest of drawers and wardrobe come from another room, the nightstand and bookshelf are just arrived from the studio and the little shelves between them were a diy little nightstand….. This room does not arrive from a catalog, but in my opinion it is a functional and colourful mix,  perfect for a 7-years old boy. It gives freedom to change and replace with other solutions. Next step in this room will be adding a desk.
